Better Civics was created to serve as the connective tissue between encouraging people to vote and empowering communities to be their own advocates. We understand the barriers that keep diverse communities disengaged from the civic and political process. It’s time to do the work to remove these barriers.

When people are equipped with knowledge of how government works at all levels, and provided with the tools and avenues to champion the issues affecting their neighborhoods, they are empowered to become more than just voters. They become more engaged in demanding better neighborhoods, better schools, better workplaces, and a fair and equitable democracy.

• By serving as a creative engine behind civic and business organizations that look to create deeper connections with diverse communities

Our Reach

Better Civics currently serves all residents in Philadelphia County, with narrowed or broadened audiences based on individual projects. Our work can cover the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as the electoral process is consistent statewide.

Over time, Better Civics will expand our reach by targeting key U.S. urban centers based on the needs and civic engagement levels needing improvement.
